Endorsed by none other than the legendary French chef Paul Bocuse (the only restaurateur in the world to be awarded the prestigious Michelin 3 Stars for over 36 consecutive years), Cuisinart's Chef's Classic stainless cookware is high quality, yet affordable. Unlike many lines of cookware, this can go in the dishwasher for clean up, yet the aluminum core within the base provides even and efficient heating. Stainless steel not only looks great, it is also non-reactive with food, an important consideration for any cook. This small saucepan is ideal for sauces, boiling a couple of eggs, cooking vegetables and any number of other tasks.

"Excelllent replacement" 2010-04-17

This saucepan is a good buy. The weight is very good and the heat seems to be evenly distributed. I also purchased the matching 8" fry pan and I enjoy using both of them. The price of the Cuisinart is about mid-level and a good value for the product.

"Could be better" 2010-04-06

For some reason, this particular size pot in the set has a tendancy to flake the stainless on the bottom...Amazon replaced with not problem, but after 3 uses, wife noticed it is starting to do the same thing..keep an eye out for this ..otherwise it is a very convenient and mostly used size.....

"Good product" 2010-03-06
By VVRAJU (Herndon,Va)
Cookware arrived promptly. Saucepan and the lid look great out of the box. Online photos don't do justice. Good size for making a quick oatmeal. Cleanup is easy, stuff doesn't stick like it does in a cheap stainless steel pot. Lid gets a little hot. Overall recommend it.I bought it for 17$. Price seem to fluctuate between 17 and 20 so watch out for that.

"Simply divine :)" 2010-02-21

Finally got rid of all the wickedly unhealthy non-stick stuff. Use this line pretty much exclusively now, and use these pots on a daily basis. And, being Cuisinart, they're wonderful, of course :) About the only downside, it is a bit difficult to clean around the rivets, but I still feel its worthy of 5 stars. They're sleek, shiny, high-quality, and they get the job done. Wonderfully simple design. Wouldn't wanna be without 'em. {I recommend using wooden spoons to avoid scratching any cookware.}

"Nice size pan, lower quality" 2010-02-11
By LizE
I have been gradually buying pans from this collection, and have wanted this size for a while. It's great for making pasta for a small number of people, and it's perfect for home-made soup. However this particular item is of lesser quality than the other ones I have. The metal is thinner, including the base, and the handle is not nearly as comfortable when the pan is full - the ridges dig into my hand. I'm happy I have it, but a little disappointed also.
