Seasoned and ready to use. The griddle of your dreams! Larger than the Grid Iron griddle this reversible two-burner griddle features a slight slope for a generouse grease gutter. Cooking surface is 19 1/4 x 8 1/2
The American-based company Lodge has been fine-tuning its construction of rugged, cast-iron cookware for more than a century. No other metal is as long-lasting and works as well for spreading and retaining heat evenly during cooking. Lodge's Logic line of cookware comes factory pre-seasoned with the company's vegetable oil formula, and is ready to use right out of the box.

This professional-size cast-iron grill/griddle combo from the Lodge Logic series measures 20 by 10-1/2 inches (with an actual cooking surface of 19-1/4 by 8-1/2 inches), serious enough to straddle either a campfire or two burners on your stovetop. The reversible feature of this crowd-pleasing cooker means you can use the smooth side for cooking flapjacks, eggs, and grilled cheese sandwiches, and the ridged grill side for hamburgers, steaks, and sausages. A slight slope drains fat into a generous grease gutter, and the two loop-style handles provide safe transport. After the meal is done, simply scrub the cast iron with a stiff brush and hot water, no soap, and dry immediately. Lodge covers the sturdy griddle with a lifetime limited warranty against defects. This pan is guaranteed to pass down from one generation to the next. --Ann Bieri

"WORTH EVERY PENNY" 2010-04-11

This a heavy duty cast iron grill pan. It takes a while to heat up, but it does a wonderful job. It's has held up and I know it will last many life times. Just remember to season again when you get it by heating it up in the oven with a layer of oil so it will stay nonstick. Plus when cleaning no soap or putting in the dish washer. It a wonderful pan.

"That's why God invented teflon!" 2010-04-08

I had an electric griddle that I used for years til it fell apart. I thought I'd be cool if I had one of these cast iron jobs, so I bought one. I've been fooling around with it for a few months now and I've decided I don't like it very much. The one thing I do like about it is the ribbed side does make a steak look good. I tried cooking a couple of hamburgers on the ribbed side but it was a disaster. The burgers shredded when I flipped them and little pieces got in the grooves and were a real pain to clean up. The problem with two sides is that the side against the gas flame gets all burned and rusty and it has to be treated before you can cook on it. My unit only fits on the left side of the gas stove over the big front burner and the little back burner. Hence the problem of getting the heat even. Whatever is on the front is always cooked more than what's on the back half of the griddle. Trying to adjust the burners to compensate does help a little, but it never works quite right. If I cooked a pound of bacon on my electric griddle, as the grease piles up, I can tilt the griddle with the plastic handles and dump the excess grease. With this thing the handles are also cast iron so you'd need gloves to dump the grease.
The bottom line: I'll buy a new electric griddle when they're on sale, and use this for cooking a steak when it's cold outside.
Since I cook about one steak a week in the cold weather, I figure my investment in this griddle will have paid off in about the year 2050.

"Love this griddle!!!" 2010-04-07
By Sharon M. Reels (Coventry, RI)
This griddle is everything that I thought it would be and more. The versatility of having dual grille/griddle sides is like having 2 in 1. It is lightly seasoned so you take it out of the box n use. My husband has been creating the most flavorful breakfasts. I see this item in our family for generations to come.
