Amazon.com Review

Revere 3-1/2-Quart Copper Bottom Tea Kettle. One of the first names in tea kettles, Revere offers a range of high-quality polished stainless steel models with copper bottoms for fast heating. Traditionally styled, the kettles feature easy-grip, black phenolic handles, whistling spouts and trigger mechanism for easy and safe pouring. Each of the kettles is embossed with Paul Revere's signature.
Designed with a retro look, this tea kettle is similar to Revere's original copper-bottom cookware that was so popular in the 1950s but offers updated materials and a lighter weight. The kettle is made of durable and brilliantly polished 18/10 stainless steel and has a copper bottom for excellent heat conductivity. The kettle holds a maximum capacity of 3-1/2 quarts of water, equivalent to six 3-1/2-cup servings, and has a whistle in its spout that sounds when water is boiling. The kettle's handle is made of phenolic plastic, which stays cool during boiling and has a fingertip trigger that pulls to up the lid for pouring or refilling with water. This kettle should be hand-washed and the copper bottom will require polishing in order to maintain its brilliant luster. This kettle is covered under a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

"Perfect for 2 years" 2010-04-18
By J. Hine
I have owned this kettle for 2 years, during which time it held up wonderfully to the rigors of family life. However, today the plastic ring on the handle broke off under normal use. I thought that I would be able to replace the entire handle as it has screws and would be an easy job for me. After an exhaustive google search it seems like the part is just not available. This is ridiculous. Planned obsolescence? Perhaps. But if you are like me and care for the planet and do not want to throw away a perfectly good teakettle because you can not find a replacement handle then you may want to research another kettle, which is where I find myself. This kettle was made in China, perhaps there are replacement parts there. Good luck.

"Great product" 2010-04-14
By B. Leach (Lansdale, Pa.)
This is a great product. I've been buying them for 50 years. There's only one small problem with them that I wish the manufacture would fix, that being that the finger pull in the handle breaks off easily. Thank-you.

I have had two tea kettles commercially purchased that fell apart. This one is well made and works well. Thank you for having in stock!

"Simple, durable, & not too big" 2010-04-08
By David A. (Stafford, VA)
My mother had one of these for many many years till she broke the "trigger" part that pulls the cap open to pour. She still used it even broken until she could replace it with another we found here on Amazon. She didn't want any other kind because she liked the size (not too big but big enough unless you are heating water for more than 5 or 6 people). Also she said it seems to heat up faster than others she had before. I expect the new one will last another 20 years at least.
