Amazon.com Review

This cookware set is an exceptional value, including all of the pans needed to equip your kitchen with the most used cooking pieces. As the set contains only basic pieces, you'll really use each and every pan. It includes saucepans for whisking a homemade sauce or cooking your morning oatmeal, a big stockpot for soups, stews or boiling pasta, and skillets (probably the most used pan in any kitchen) that will help you turn out perfect pancakes or a tasty tuna melt.
Like her dynamic cutlery, Rachael Ray cookware first enchants the eye before you even realize how well you can cook with it. The handsome charcoal-gray, hard-anodized pots and pans feature shiny stainless-steel handles wrapped with neon-orange silicone grips that practically glow with the kinetic energy of this celebrity chef. It'll come as no surprise that orange is Ray's favorite color. A smile is practically guaranteed each time you pull one of these pans out of the cupboard or see them hanging by your stove. As for cooking, hard-anodized aluminum heats quickly and evenly, resists scratching, and is incredibly durable. The interior nonstick finish allows food to slide right off.

You're good to go with this 10-piece set of commonly-used cookware. Included are 1-1/2- and 3-quart covered saucepans; 8- and 10-inch open French skillets; a 6-quart covered stockpot for big batches of pasta and chili; and a 3-quart/10-inch covered sauté pan. The glass lids let you monitor cooking without losing steam or nutrients, and feature stainless-steel rims and handle with those same neon-orange silicone grips. Every piece is oven-safe to 400 degrees F, so you can start a dish on the stovetop and finish it with a hot bake-through. For the best care, washing the nonstick cookware by hand is recommended. An excellent gift, the set is covered by a lifetime limited warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

"Perfect" 2010-04-20
By Jan M. Green (LITTLETON, CO, US)
I have used these almost everyday since I purchased them. They cook faster & more evenly than my expensive stainless steel & copper pans. Finally a celebrity puts their name on a product that truly stands up for what they say it is. I own several Rachael Ray products & they are all awesome

"They are great, but. . . ." 2010-03-30
By Sally Jo (Wellington, FL USA)
First off, I love Rachel Ray, and I love most of her products. These pans are great for cooking, but. . . the only thing I don't like about them, is that the outsides (mainly the bottoms) stain really easily. The interiors are wonderfully easy to clean, but you really have to scrub the heck out of the bottoms of the pans. Maybe it is because I cook on a flatop stove, but if the slightest thing gets on the cooktop, it really imbeds itself into the bottom of the pans. I am afraid if I scrub them to hard I will ruin them. They really are wonderful for cooking though, I just wouldn't want to "display" them because of the splotches that imbed themselves on the bottoms. If anyone knows of a gentle cleanser that will help me get the bottoms cleaner, feel free to post.

"Best cook pots ever" 2010-03-30
By Beate (Portland, OR)
I bought the same cook set a couple of years ago but had to leave it behind at my last house hold. I immidiatly replaced it with the same set as those are the best pots that I have ever bought. The pots are heavier than the average non-stick cook ware and therefore sit well on the stove, ensuring evenly distributed heat.
The pot sizes are great for the average house hold. The lids don't have vents which would be nice. Some people complain about dirty handles. I never had the problem. I learned though that one really needs to pay attention to not cook on high settings with non-stick cook ware. I ruined both frying pans of my first set by doing so and now dilligently keep the heat to medium-high. These cook pots transfer the heat so well that no dish should need to be cooked on high. Great Product.

By R. Tan (Fort Worth, TX)
I am not really one who likes to be in the kitchen. However, once I got my new cookware I find myself wanting to cook. This cookware set is great to cook in especially easy to clean because nothing sticks to them. I am VERY happy with my purchase and believe that you will be to.

"Perfect set!" 2010-03-24
By Shanny (Phoenix, AZ united states)
This set is phenominal! Better than most, easier to clean than the stainless steel sets, and longer lasting than the porcelain sets. If you're looking for one great cookware set, than this is worth the investment! I loved it so much, I bought a set for my Mom too!
