very sturdy build and will out-least you. just don't use high heat the first 4-5 times ,let the preseasoning cure (i burned a saucer sized spot on the bottom-center of mine and had to reseason (new electric stove,i didn't know the temps yet). i have had other lodge brand cast iron with preseasoning and they all work great,so i'm sure this is no exception .

I've had other Woks, in the past, including an electric one; but, this Lodge Pro Cast-Iron Wok, is by far the best, in my opinion.

I'm sorry I waited so long to get this wok. It is amazing. It's great for stir fries. Because it's cast iron, it holds heat well. It will last a life time.

This wok is quality! What makes it stand out is that it retains heat evenly even on a poor heating element. I have a very low BTU, apartment gas range that doesn't put out enough heat, but what's nice about this wok is that you can throw it into a preheating 500 degree oven for ten minutes and pull it out and be stir frying like a champ.
I've used it to make meat sauces for spaghetti, stir fry, to fry eggs, boil water for ramen noodles... what haven't I used it for should be the question... This would make a great gift for someone just starting off as it really can be used for just about everything. And cleanup is really simple. Just follow normal cast iron care instructions. Truthfully this wok never leaves my range.

Just got this wok and tried it out last night. I've never been able to stir fry on my stove before because I just couldn't get enough heat. Well this works really well when pre heated for a few minutes on my low btu stove...can't wait to try it on my new ******** range.
